Digital Advertising in Greece Reaches €401m. Where Is the Money Going?
According to IAB Europe's AdEx Benchmark 2025, published in July 2026, digital advertising in Greece reached €401 million in 2025, up 10.9% in a year. The market is growing steadily. The more useful question, though, is where the money goes.
The key figures
Search. €255 million, up 10.8%. That is almost two thirds of total spend.
Display excluding social. €93 million, up 14.6%, faster than search.
Video. 65% of display excluding social goes to video.
The study gives no separate social media figure for Greece. One important point: this year there was no national data submission from Greece, so the figures are estimates from IAB Europe's model. They show the direction, not exact accounts.
What it means for a small business
Search remains the largest share. When someone searches, they want an answer now. If you pay to be found, your website and Google profile must give that answer straight away.
Video is gaining ground. A good video with the right versions can work across social media, YouTube and ads on websites.
The market average is not a recipe. Start from where your own customers search and spend their time, and measure what actually brings enquiries or sales. At Promoters we can plan together where your budget is worth going.
